Our mission is to provide essential assistance to the well-being, health and safety of our patients, their families, and our devoted staff. Through innovation, compassion, and the pursuit of excellence, we work tirelessly to support services, programs and equipment not covered by the basic operating costs provided by the government.
Mission and values
The Mission of the Foundation is to raise funds in order to benefit the patients and families. Our funding supports services and programs by supplementing basic operating costs provided by the government.
Offering diverse programs focused on education and care
We provide care & education in a clinical environment to patients who have chronic pulmonary disease. Our physicians work with a multidisciplinary team that includes respiratory therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. All of whom work to provide the highest standard of care.
Supportive care with utmost compassion and comfort
We provide compassionate care for patients and their families in the terminal stages of illness. Emphasis is on pain & symptom management as well as a concentrated focus on psychological, emotional, social & cultural support. Mount Sinai Hospital also offers Palliative Home Care, which is funded by the Foundation.
Revitalizing health
Mount Sinai has developed strategic partnerships with acute care institutions to provide patients with appropriate transitional care. This may include on-going treatments, restorative therapy, wound care, medication management, pain management and more.
